Feed Your Soul

🌱 Wisdom for leaders who want to grow confidence and purpose

I gave to my career with all my HEART… until I realized I was losing both my MIND and my SOUL 😞

As an Application Development Senior Manager and Vice President, I thrived in a positive culture where we cared for each other’s well-being and operated with a wholly HEART-CENTERED approach ❤️. It was in this environment that we delivered high-quality output and designed systems that are still operational today, 25 years later.

While I certainly had some challenging days, I felt that the positive culture modeled by leadership at all levels allowed me to tap into my creative and logical mind, and do my best work.

When new leadership arrived and tore down this culture, I found myself in a state of fear, uncertainty, and unhappiness. My MIND went into fight, freeze, flee, appease mode 🧠. My performance began to suffer, and I felt disconnected from my purpose and values. It was then that I decided to take a leap of faith — I quit my job, moved to a new city and took a sabbatical to find myself again.

Fast forward to today, where I’ve found my calling as an executive and leadership development coach. I’ve discovered that my purpose is to help others become happier, personally and professionally, and create a positive ripple effect in their sphere of influence. This is the work that truly feeds my SOUL 🌟.
